Thai Yoga Massage

Thai yoga massage is a holistic healing method, which derives from the Ayurvedic medicine, combining Acupressure, passive Hatha Yoga and Reflexology. The practice of Thai yoga massage is said to be thousands of years old, but it is still part of Thailand’s medical system due to its perceived healing properties at both emotional and physical levels.

In this unique healing system of Thai Yoga Massage, also called Nuad, the practitioner may guide the client through a series of yoga postures, while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points. All these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.

Thai Massage combines eastern wisdom with western science, while maintaining maximum precision and the highest quality touch. Each session is tailored made to your current state. Depending on the receiver and his needs, Thai yoga massage style can variate from gentle to strong, from static to dynamic; whether we focus on relaxation and regeneration, on letting go of control, on releasing tensions – it depends on you and your needs. Usually sessions contain all these elements in varying proportions.

The main benefits of Thai massage are:
• Improved flexibility and range of muscle movement through assisted stretching
• Blood flow is increased, and circulation assisted
• Release of physical tension to relieve aches and pains
• Release of emotional tension held within the body, combating stress and providing a feeling of relaxation.

In addition to these benefits, like all massage, the stimulation of the nerves and skin cells can improve skin quality and muscular function, and contribute to an overall sense of well-being.

Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor; both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility.
